Planning airport luggage storage
Confirm both drop-off and collection before choosing luggage storage. The useful option is one you can reach, use and return to within your travel schedule.
General planning guidance. Airport and airline procedures can differ. Use the official links below to confirm what applies to your journey.
Identify the service you need
Left luggage means storing a bag for later collection. It is different from checking a bag in with an airline, reporting lost property or arranging baggage delivery.
Use the airport’s official services page to identify any storage operator. Check whether the location is a staffed counter or lockers, inside the terminal or off-site, and before or after security.
Read the booking and collection conditions
Check the provider’s conditions for your actual items and storage period. A headline daily price may not describe the total charge for your plans.
- Confirm the charge per item and how the storage period is calculated.
- Check size limits, prohibited items and any screening requirement.
- Confirm the opening hours at both drop-off and collection.
- Ask what identification, receipt or booking reference you need to collect a bag.
- Check cancellation, late collection and liability terms with the provider.
Plan around your flight
Keep travel documents, medication and items needed for the next part of your journey with you. Allow time to collect your bags before check-in, security or onward travel.
If storage is outside the terminal, account for the transfer in both directions. Do not assume that a nearby service is walkable or accessible from the secure passenger area.
When airport storage is not confirmed
An unconfirmed entry means we do not have enough reviewed information. Check the airport’s current services page before deciding storage is unavailable. If using an off-site alternative, verify its address and terms directly rather than relying only on a map pin.
