Our editorial policy

Clear evidence and practical usefulness determine what a facility page can say. Search demand alone is not a reason to publish an unverified answer.

Accuracy before completeness

Wording must match the supporting source. We distinguish confirmed absence from missing information, and access restrictions from general availability. Terminal-specific evidence must not become an airport-wide claim.

The initial airport-facility records remain unpublished research. No record becomes approved simply because a template can render it.

Original writing and human approval

Sources support facts, while our explanations and directions should be written in original language. AI can assist research, organisation and drafting, but generated text is not evidence. Airport facts require source checking and named editorial approval before publication.

Independence and commercial links

Commercial relationships must not change a facility’s status, sources, review date or access information. Any future paid or commission-earning placement must be clearly identified at the point where it appears. Ordinary official-source links should help readers check information.

Images and maps

Photographs and maps require appropriate rights and attribution. Illustrative imagery must not be presented as proof of a named facility or its current appearance. Official maps should be linked unless permission allows republication.

Corrections and closures

Traveller reports are reviewed before they can change a record. A moved, restricted or closed facility should be described according to current supporting evidence. Where the evidence is unresolved, the page must make that uncertainty clear.
